Synopsis: Review the change from the last edition to the current edition of the California Residential Code. The background behind many of the changes wil l be discussed to provide the participant with an understanding of the int ent of the changes and how to apply it to their everyday work. Discussion covered in this class will also include the code change process\, safety g lazing\, window fall protection\, carbon monoxide alarms and many more sub jects. Please bring your code book. Starting a building code-consulting firm in 1 999\, he has served as the contract Building Official for local jurisdicti ons in Colorado. Mr. Thomas has served on several ICBO committees and rec ently served as the Chairman of the ICC Means of Egress Code Development C ommittee. He is also the author of the book\, Building Code Basics\, Based on the 2009 &\; 2012 IBC available from ICC. He has presented building code classes for the last 25 years and provides an interesting and engagi ng look at building codes.
