Class Synopsis:
\nThe class is designed to facilitate accessibility within our communities\, and is a presentation on chapter 11A Multifamily Dwellings. Topics being covered are\, CBC vs F FHAA\, Post 1991 &\; Pre 1991\, Ground floor (Elevator buildings and no n-Elevator buildings)\, Division 2\,3\,5\, Major differences between 11A & amp\; 11B\, Division 4 – inside the dwelling unit (Differences between 11A &\; 11B\, accessible route\, doors\, kitchens and bathrooms)
\nLUIHSW units are available as Learning Units f or AIA. This class is taught by an ICC Preferred Provider.

\nRi ck Halloran\, Senior Building Inspector for the City of San Franc isco Department of Building Inspections
\nCurrently manages the Department’s Technical Services Division and is a lso the Department’s ADA coordinator. Since 2005 Mr. Halloran has worked i n and overseen the Department’s Disability Access Section and serves as Se cretary to the San Francisco Access Appeals Commission. He is a Certified Access Specialist (#114) and a founding member of Certified Access Special ist Institute\, serving in 2010 to 2011 on the first CASI Board of Directo rs. Mr. Halloran has been an adjunct faculty member of the College of San Mateo building technology division teaching a full semester class on State and Federal accessibility regulations for the built environment. He curre ntly serves on the California Building Officials Access Committee and is a CALBO instructor for multifamily dwellings.
